Hayloft Cottage Welcome to the first floor Hayloft
Cottage with its entrance at the side up six wooden steps.
Hayloft Cottage was built in 1598 and was originally used as
a store for hay which would be fed to the working Shire
Horses stabled on the ground floor below. In the period
between the 1960’s and 2005 we used the hay stored here to
feed cattle and in 2007 the barn was converted to two
holiday cottages.
The kitchen, lounge and dining area are open plan. The
kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, kettle, 4
slice toaster, microwave oven, washing machine and
refrigerator. A dining area with cottage style table and
chairs is located opposite the kitchen.
The lounge is fully carpeted with a large (32 inch)
Freeview flat screen television, DVD player, coffee table
and a leather reclining settee.
The bedroom is decorated in soft peach and white and has
a 5ft Zip and Link bed with a firm mattress. The room is
well lit with lights on the wall above each side of the bed.
There are two windows, one looking into our private
courtyard and flower beds and another looking south with
wonderful views over the Cornish countryside.
The bathroom is fully tiled with WC and washbasin. The
white enamelled bath has a safety handle and powerful
shower.
To the front of the cottage is a patio area with a table
and benches which overlook an extensive lawn, all in very
peaceful surroundings. |
