Local Amenities

Although the cottage is in a quiet rural setting, local amenities are within easy reach.

The nearest village is Landrake (1.4 miles) with a well stocked local shop, post office, public house, church and chapel.

The village of Tideford (2.6 miles) has a popular local butchers and traditional public house with live music most weekends and excellent food.

Saltash is the nearest town, 5 miles away, with a Waitrose supermarket, traditional greengrocers and fishmongers.

Plymouth with its rich maritime history, museums, aquarium and modern shopping area is only a short drive back across the Tamar Bridge.

For more relaxing pursuits the south coast of Cornwall is within easy reach (9 miles) with miles of long sandy beaches, the coastal footpath and good sea fishing.

The beaches of South East Cornwall, the fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, plus the larger Looe, Polpero, Polruan and Fowey are all within easy reach.

A number of National Trust properties plus of course  the "must see" Eden Project are within an easy drive.
